Jake Winkle

Who is he?

Jake Winkle, a British watercolor artist, based in Dorset, and regularly runs painting masterclasses.

Inspired by light and movement Jake's paintings are reflections of the world around him.  Jake has twice been the winner of his category and best in the show at the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society's annual exhibition as well as a former finalist in the Daily Mail's 'Not the Turner Prize' competition.

What's the style?

Jake Winkle's color was inspired by light and movement.

He likes to paint Venice from dark to light connecting shapes through their shadows. He likes to run wild on the method, throw paint on paper and splash, and scribble-and Venice is a softer method.
